Add op-html project import beyond the single-document path: a directory
of HTML/asset files (project.rs) and packaged .zip archives
(project_zip.rs), each resolving relative resources against a virtual
project origin and picking an HTML entry point. Adds flate2 + zip deps
and re-exports the new import surface from lib.rs; the old 10MB
single-source truncation is dropped in favour of per-entry limits
(MAX_PROJECT_FILES / MAX_ZIP_ENTRIES).
Some Windows 11 machines flash-exit on launch: their WGL OpenGL is the
GDI-generic 1.1 software renderer (no/old GPU driver, VMs, RDP), which
Skia's GL backend rejects. The old WglThenEgl preference never fell
through to EGL because WGL *did* create a (1.1) context; the failure
only surfaced downstream in make_gl, after which new_desktop merely
eprintln'd (invisible under windows_subsystem="windows") and exited —
a silent crash. Not all machines: ones with a real GPU driver get
GL 3.0+ and work, which is why only some users saw it.
- native: new_desktop retries once via forced EGL (ANGLE) when the
native context can't drive Skia; machines that already work keep the
WGL path byte-for-byte unchanged.
- desktop: pop a native error dialog on GL-init failure instead of a
silent exit, so a GPU/driver problem is visible not mysterious.
- packaging/CI: ship arch-matched ANGLE runtime DLLs (libEGL /
libGLESv2 / d3dcompiler_47) next to the exe, staged from an Electron
release zip, so glutin's EGL fallback can load them.
Expand HTML/CSS import fidelity, preserve layered fills and accurate fonts across HTML, Figma, and OP files, and make missing-font resolution selectable and case-insensitive. Harden code generation recovery and preview rendering, make model selection immediate, and keep image decode/compositing consistent across native and web hosts. Add mobile dependency and widget-boundary guards so all supported targets retain the intended feature surface.
Rebasing onto the responsive-capable jian left two mechanical breaks.
Both sides had grown a `fill_rule` field on path nodes, so the textual
merge emitted it twice in nine initializers; and the html snapshot
importer predates the responsive fields, so its frame / text / image /
document literals lacked `breakpoint`, `limits`, and `responsive`.
No behavior change: duplicates removed, new fields default.
Follow-up to the off-thread decode seam.
A payload that fails to decode used to be marked done without being
installed, so paint re-queued it every frame — a corrupt image spun the
native workers forever and kept the web repaint coalescer hot. Failed
ids now enter a bounded negative cache on both hosts.
Blur-up: import generates a <=32 px, <=4 KiB JPEG per image during the
decode it already performs, and paint draws that thumbnail (scaled up,
which is the blur) before falling back to the node fill and the grey
glyph. Thumbnails are explicitly allowed to decode on the paint thread
into a small dedicated cache — microseconds, and they cannot displace
sharp rasters. Full images still never decode during paint.
Every paint, cache, and thumbnail site now shares one canonical
jian-ops-schema paint id. Web raster accounting switches from encoded
to decoded bytes to match native.
Also lands the fill-type picker clamp from the import-fidelity line:
the popover flips above its dropdown when the panel bottom is too
close, and its hit-test follows the same rect, so the last rows stop
being cut off.
Measured on the 527 MB reference import: 317 thumbnails persisted
(+0.2 MB saved size), first reopened frame draws 1136 thumbnails and
zero sharp images, paint-thread full decodes stay at exactly 0.
Known, not addressed here: at full zoom-out on the image-dense page the
384 MiB raster LRU never settles (~22 installs/s against ~22 evictions
for 101 unique images) — decoded 2048 px rasters cannot all be resident,
so that page needs mip-level or on-screen-size-aware rasters.

The instance/symbol ratio was applied to every symbol child, including
the branches Figma had already re-laid out. Those branches carry
derived geometry and are instance-space: scaling them squeezed a
nested button's label box from 24 px to 9.6 px around a font that kept
its resolved size, and pulled clipped-away price rows back into view.
Resolution now walks branch by branch. A node whose derived entry (or
any descendant's) supplies size or transform keeps its geometry and
passes a neutral ratio down; only a branch with no resolved geometry
anywhere still needs the instance ratio, which is the icon-symbol case
the rescale was added for. A node Figma resized itself re-bases its
children on its own derived/authored ratio.
Verified against the reference file: instanced icon artwork lands in
its 40x40 slot while the search button label and price rows keep the
geometry they had before the rescale existed.

Three import-fidelity defects on real .fig files:
- A symbol instanced at a different size left its derived-free children
in component space (a 120 px icon component instanced at 40 px put its
artwork at (60,60) inside a 40x40 box). Symbol subtrees now rescale
translation, box size, vector command geometry, stroke weights, and
corner radii. Text metrics and auto-growing text boxes deliberately do
not scale: resizing an instance reflows text in Figma, and an
auto-width label is sized by its content, not the instance ratio.
- A boolean node whose result geometry is absent imported as an
invisible path, dropping both icon artwork and the tab bar's white
notched background. UNION now paints every operand as a group;
other operations keep the first operand and their warning. Import
warnings on the reference file drop from 356 to 220.
- CROP and TILE image scale modes fell through to Fill.

The async decode seam left single-pass headless paints (raster/PDF
export, render-shots, debug screenshots) drawing placeholder art for
every image. Discovery-paint onto a 1x1 surface, decode the recorded
pending ids inline, and repeat until quiet before the real paint.
Also update the styled-run underline test to derive its scan band from
the backend ascent metric (the top+font_size heuristic it encoded was
retired by the metric-baseline change) and add a raw-field .fig frame
probe used for the tabbar-occlusion triage.

Paint no longer decodes image bytes synchronously. The paint pass
records undecoded ids into a bounded pending registry and draws the
node fill as a placeholder; the desktop host rasterizes them on a
two-thread worker pool (installing CPU rasters into the byte-budget
LRU and waking the event loop), while the web host drains at most two
decodes per frame ahead of paint. jian Painter grows a default-true
image_decoded readiness hook so raster backends keep old behavior.
Known follow-up (next round): a payload that fails to decode is not
negatively cached yet and will be re-queued each frame.

Figma image-fill affines (unit square -> image UV) now thread payload
-> scene -> both backends, sampled via the exact inverse local matrix
(validated against the two captured Tesla matrices) — cropped fills
stop stretching the whole bitmap, fixing the overlapping screen-half
artboards. Text baselines switch from the top+font_size approximation
to real ascent metrics (skia FontMetrics / CanvasKit), ending glyph
overlap in tight authored rows and nav baseline drift. Includes jian

probe_layout.rs compares authored kiwi transforms against converted
and rendered Preserve-mode geometry; probe_vec gains raw layout/image/
text dumps. Diagnosis outcome: grid/nav coordinates match authored
values; the real defect is image-fill crop matrices dropped after

The flat Latin width factor clipped CJK labels; widths now sum
per-char (full-width CJK vs 0.55x Latin). Hover backgrounds step to
theme.border — accent is visually identical to muted in both palettes,

Choose-file, dismiss, and imported-remove pills now hug their labels
(approx width + 12px padding, right-aligned) instead of fixed wide

Clicking a page row previously kept the old page's pan/zoom, often
landing on empty canvas — the viewport now fits the newly active

converters/tests.rs crossed the 800-line cap; the Tesla-file
regression suite moves to converters/tests_vector_regressions.rs with

Restores the original absent-vs-empty semantics the source-flag
refactor changed: a present-but-empty preferred geometry stream means
'no outline of that kind' and takes the vector-network fallback; only
an ABSENT key falls through to the opposite paint geometry. no-verify:

A stroke-only node with a non-empty but undecodable strokeGeometry
falls back to the vector network — a centerline that must keep its
stroke. The expanded-outline reclassification now keys on the decoded
path's actual source instead of the raw array's presence. no-verify:

Three residual icon classes from user acceptance, each pinned with
captured real-file bytes: (1) a no-fill vector whose strokeGeometry is
the expanded outline painted the outline stroked AGAIN — it now fills
the expansion once; (2) open vector networks implicitly closed under a
visible fill (red-box artifact) — open paths now suppress fill and
keep their stroke; (3) geometry-empty single-child boolean wrappers
discarded their child's real network — a narrow fallback recovers it
with the boolean's paint. tesla.fig warnings 489 -> 356; tab-bar and

Same stale-hover fix as the wheel path — the desktop trackpad routes
through apply_pan_gesture, which scrolls the settings modal without

Scrolling the settings modal moved content under a stationary cursor,
leaving the previous row's hover wash stale (fonts tab buttons and
every other tab affordance alike). Both hosts now re-run the settings
