Fields previously used a transparent idle fill (a misread of Figma, whose
inputs actually keep a visible fill at idle). Editable controls now read as
controls: idle fill #383838 (dark) / #f0f1f3 (light), one step up from the
panel, with a slightly stronger hover and the accent focus border.
Drop the spacing/radius sizing tokens (--spacing-control, --spacing-panel-*,
--radius-panel) and their generated classes (h-control, px-panel-x, gap-panel,
rounded-panel, etc.) in favor of direct Tailwind utilities (h-6, px-3, gap-1.5,
rounded). Color tokens are kept since they drive dark/light theming.
Behavior-preserving: 24px controls, 5px radius, identical computed layout.
Rulers stayed dark in light theme because the canvas ruler theme was only
pushed to the editor store at theme-apply time, before any editor existed,
and the renderer fell back to a hardcoded dark color.
- Push the ruler theme to the active editor whenever it registers or the
theme changes, via a reactive active-store ref (keeps the no-browser-
globals-in-core boundary intact)
- Refresh the light ruler palette for proper contrast on the light canvas
- Unify all blues to a single accent: panel-focus and panel-selected now
derive from the brand accent instead of one-off #4c8dff / #0d64d8
- Make panel-field transparent at idle (hover/focus fill) for a quieter,
Figma-grade properties panel; panel-field-hover becomes the intent fill
- Denser controls: --spacing-control 26px -> 24px, radius-panel 4px -> 5px
- Neutralize panel-selected-muted (de-blued) for inactive-pane selection
- Mirror the same structure in the light theme
- Theme Variables, collaboration, presence, and provider status states\n- Expose semantic default, resizing, following, connection, and tone attributes\n- Remove the final dynamic-state allowlist and document enforced Vue template rules
- Introduce Nuxt UI-style Tailwind Variants themes and 26px panel primitives\n- Align section and field action rails across labeled property rows\n- Add Storybook with dark/light states, accessibility tooling, and CI build coverage\n- Standardize UI acronym casing across app and Vue SDK types
New module packages/core/src/random.ts with randomHex, randomInt,
randomIndex — centralizes all crypto-based randomness.
Replaces:
- Date.now() IDs in VariablesDialog (not unique, not random)
- Hand-rolled hex token in automation/server.ts
- Inline crypto.getRandomValues in clipboard.ts, use-collab.ts
Also adds --color-component Tailwind theme color (#9747ff) and
replaces all 6 hardcoded occurrences across DesignPanel, LayerTree,
NodeContextMenuContent, and menu.ts.
Global * scrollbar styles caused scrollbars to appear on the
menu bar and other elements. Replace with scrollbar-thin utility
applied only to panel scroll containers.
Panel resizing now creates a new surface from the existing
GrDirectContext instead of destroying and recreating the entire
renderer. All caches (paints, fonts, node pictures, scene picture,
filters) are preserved across resizes.
- Font service (src/engine/fonts.ts) loads system fonts on demand
- Same font bytes registered in both CanvasKit and browser (FontFace API)
- Eliminates rendering mismatch between canvas and text editing overlay
- queryLocalFonts() for enumeration and blob() for font data
- Bundled Inter-Regular.ttf as fallback when API unavailable
- Renderer uses font service instead of hardcoded fetch
- Skip rendering text node on canvas while textarea overlay is active
- Skip selection handles for the node being edited
- Remove border from textarea (was causing double outline)
- Add @font-face for Inter-Regular.ttf so textarea matches CanvasKit
